Cycle-Team-Respekt donates sponsorship money – unexpected surprise for little Leonard and his family
“It is very nice to work in such a company, with such bosses and colleagues.” With this sentence, among others, Matthias Richter, Leonard’s father and employee of KS Service, thanked everyone involved. Two-year-old Leonard Richter was born prematurely and still suffers from the consequences today. He has already undergone numerous operations. His fighting spirit and unbroken will, supported by a wide range of therapies, are helping him on his difficult path through life. Especially through riding therapy with specially trained horses and therapists he finds visible relaxation.
In order to relieve the parents at least a little financially, our KSI colleagues from the Cycle-Team-Respekt (Michael Scholz and Mike Thieme) had an idea. They donated a part of their sponsorship money for this special riding therapy, which is not covered by the health insurance. In addition, a further amount was donated to the sponsoring association of the AMISTAD riding therapy center in Straelen, to support the valuable work even more.
The Kurt Schuhmacher Group, the main sponsor of the cycling team, was happy to support this great idea. In secret agreement, many colleagues gathered at the therapy center. There they surprised the Richter family, who had been invited under false pretenses. The emotional handing over of the donation checks became a great, unexpected surprise.
The Cycle-Team-Respect lived up to its name. We are proud of our employees’ commitment and wish our team every success in its future long-distance races (Race across Germany 2021 / Rad am Ring 2022).
We are already happy to report on the great challenges ahead.
(Note: Everyone present has already been fully vaccinated or tested before the meeting).
