Within the extension of an OSB facility operated by Smartply in Waterford, Ireland, our long-standing customer Siempelkamp commissioned us with the assembly of a new OSB – ContiRoll® plant. In this project our scope of supply comprised the delivery and assembly of about 800 t of structural steelwork, the assembly of 400 m of mechanical conveyors as well as the mechanical/electrical assembly of the forming and press line, the cooling and stacking system and the cut-to-size plant for raw boards.
We managed to redirect the resinated-strand feed from the old paper factory to the new one precisely as scheduled, which reduced the production loss to a minimum. Our client and their customer were entirely satisfied by us implementing the whole project from the start of assembly to the production of the first board on schedule.
